My 13 years of training experience spans across many industry sectors in the UK and abroad. It includes the training of translators and project managers at companies, LSPs and governmental institutions as well as of staff and students at universities and of freelance translators. My main goal as a trainer is always to get my trainees to feel confident and enthusiastic about using their translation environment tool. My ultimate goal is for the learning objectives to be reached and for the trainees to be able to implement their new skills in real-life projects immediately. I endeavour to achieve these goals by pitching the training level correctly and creating a dynamic training environment where a clear and easy-to-follow demonstration of the software is mixed with plenty of hands-on exercises. During online training sessions, where hands-on exercises are not possible, I encourage trainees to ask as many questions as possible, so that I can expand on and clarify areas they find problematic.
